Here is an ''old relic'' that may be of interest-
This is an original Fisher ''SpaceXpander'' reverb amplifier unit. This unit was a ''classic'' back in the day and used by many recording studios and radio stations for reverb back in the '60s and later.This unit was working when removed from our radio production room at MCP/DaviSound many years back. The separate, plug-in spring unit was utilized in another project and is no longer available. However, spring reverb units are still available on-line as of this writing so it should not be hard to find one. Virtually any spring unit would work with this amplifier section. Note the vacuum tubes are also missing but, also, readily available. This is being offered ''as-is'' as a ''collectible relic'' so if interested on that basis, please make us an offer as we would like to see it put back into good use somewhere. If you would be interested in owning and preserving this piece of recording history, any reasonable offer accepted.

Here, below, is a link to a web page dedicated to the old Ampex workhorses where you will find a link to the photo of our old VR-1001 machine that these motors came from. I had two of them purchased from a Cleveland TV station. One was sold and the other converted to a 24 track audio recorder which was disassembled for part-out during our old facility closure back around 2013. The heads and electronics were sold separately to a buyer who already had a transport. Due to storage/time limitations I regrettably had to scrap the heavy transport frame and rack cabinet but removed the motors prior. These were all working when removed. Ampex Quad Equipment Catalog The VR1001 was a major mechanical variant on the VR 1000, in that the tape transport was vertical, but the reels were still side-by side. This configuration looked much more like machines to follow soon after. The electronics were still in a seperate rack.
If anyone is interested in these old relics, (I don't have to ''over-sell'' these ... everyone knows the ''battleship quality'' of Ampex!) ... THEY TRULY DON'T MAKE 'EM LIKE THAT ANYMORE! ... then please make me an offer. I will leave them here exclusively for our viewers for awhile before ultimately placing them on eBay if there are no takers here.
