But, we soon came to realize that aesthetics play a very important part in owner/user satisfaction with audio equipment! It wasn't long until we began our uniquely evolving "Tool Box" line of pro audio components employing careful, individual hand craftsmanship to the housing of each piece with the same devoted attention that is given to the handmade circuit modules and connecting wiring on the inside. DaviSound hand-crafted audio creations are made for the individualist who demands and expects audio quality second to none in all signal chain components; yet, who appreciates, even cherishes, the special aesthetics that come with owning, and using, the esoteric. On the inside, our unique handwired circuit laying techniques are truly most unique to us and are at the heart of what gives DaviSound audio signal chains the laboratory reference quality by which to judge all others ... quality we are known for in all of our critical pro studio preamplifiers, processors and amplifiers! But we are becoming just as well known for our uniquely styled wooden cabinetry available in a custom assortment of exotic or fine woods in addition to our traditional , original American Red Oak. The new "DaviStone" faceplate styling idea has seemed to capture the fascination of all of us connected with DaviSound from moment one right out of the chute! We did not come up with this idea as some kind of sales "gimmick" but, rather, as a genuinely pleasing "different alternative" for those who may prefer the painted metal faceplate as opposed to our ever popular "WG" wooden faceplate versions. Being from "Carolina Blue Granite" country, I naturally have an affection for the large granite boulders that proliferate the countryside I grew up in. Then, of course, there is the sense of "ancient mysticism" with the occasional electrical properties that have long been associated with the granite family and it's relatives (like "loadstone"). Thus, in keeping with this natural spirit ... we have chosen the "Granite Look" for our first "Fleck Stone" offering! We have stretched the imagination by utilizing a touch of all my favorite elements for the "DaviStone" package option - Wood (cabinet) - Metal (faceplate, hardware) - Rock (embedded in the faceplate paint covering) and GLASS (the clear, glasslike LEDs which light BLUE).
